    ASR Nonmetallic Interlocked Receptacles

    Category: Plugs and Sockets
    Brand: Appleton

With Enclosed Disconnect Switch. Fused and Non-Fused. 30 and 60 Amp, 600 Vac.

    • NEMA 4X, 12

The Appleton® Switched Receptacle (ASR) is designed to prevent electrical arcing when fixed or portable heavy duty equipment is used in hose down areas, damp or corrosive locations, weather-exposed settings and other adverse environments.

Available in 30 and 60 Amp designs, these nonmetallic receptacles feature an On/Off switch and an enclosed mechanical interlock that prevents plug removal under load. With a plug engaged and the switch in the On position, the plug cannot be removed. With the switch turned Off and the plug removed, the receptacle cannot be energized. The switch can be padlocked in the Off position to provide additional safety.

Fused and non-fused models are available, with both designs featuring self-cleaning contacts and a seamless silicone gasket that minimize the need for maintenance even when used in extreme conditions. Despite the compact case, there is ample interior room to simplify installation and service. Appleton Switched Receptacles are fully compatible with Powertite® plugs.
